Hi there!
I opened a "cash card" account with Barclays the other week, no problems.
I am sure that Barclays are not connected to the ones you mentioned.

Hi and welcome.
Try the Co-op, they come highly recommended.

As Kallis says I can recommend the Cashminder account with the Co-op.
I have been very happy with the service.

Co-op Cashminder account is great. Comes with a Visa Debit card and I don't think they are connected to any of the companies you listed
