Hi everyone
We woke up on Tuesday morning to find our boiler had water streaming out of it. Called an engineer out to look at it and was told that the parts that had broken were no longer made (stopped making them in 1995!).
We have been told ever since we moved into our house just over 4 years ago that it was only a matter of time before it went - typical that it happens 4 months into our IVA!
I have read from other threads that people have been given payment breaks to allow people to pay for things such as this which is great, i reckon we could pay it off in 6 months, but my concern is after reading the terms of my IVA, the IP takes the 1st 5 payments as part of their fees (next week we make our 5th) so if we were took a 6 month payment holiday our creditors would not see a penny for nearly a year.
Has anyone else been in this situation?
Before anyone says, i am just about to ring my IP now to discuss it. Just writing it down first helps! Will let you know what they say.
