My IVA tarted end Sept 2006. I'm sure that's when I started paying my direct debits as I have kepy my own written log so I think I paid in September and October 2006. I also remember asking can we miss Sept and start in Oct 2006 and the answer was no. My IVA will be 5 years old on 25 September 2011. I thought my last payment was in August because if you count paying from September 2006 to Aug 2011 inclusive that is 60 payments I have always been up to date no arrears and highly rate my IP company. However, they said 7 payments left last time I spoke and now today I asked how many were left and they said 7 again but seemed a bit unnsure when I questioned this, it was a new person to whom I have not spoken before. I contacted my bank who dont have records back that far and have given me an address to write to. How many years do banks have to keep records legally and do they have to provide me with Sept and Oct 2006 Statements upon rrequest? Is it ok to simply ask my IP on what date did my first payment start/can I have a copy of my original standing order mandate - my IVA was transferred from Clearstart to DFD and again I have no problems with the companies but I feel that I might miss out on almost £700 if I end up paying a 61st payment - by the way I have already paid back more than what was agreed through overtime worked.
Any advice appreciated please thanks anyone. Oscar

They should be able to check with their bank to ensure all 60 payments have been made and confirm your final payment date, that's what they did when I checked mine.
I am led to believe that banks have to keep records for 6 years from when you no longer have a relationship with them. So if you have held a bank account from the year dot, they should still be able to get those records. Albeit probably filed deep in the achives somewhere on microfilm probably.

Check with your IP just to make sure.
I'll bet you can't wait though!

If you ask DFD they will provide you with a list of payments made - youshould be able to work it out from your annual report on the dividends made etc - it normally works itself out !
Well done on getting this far and you are so close to being debt free so keep focused and September will soon be here !

I had all this with my IP.... exactly the same argument.
I actually heard her counting up to 72 looking at a calendar!
If your first payment was in Sep, then your last payment will be in Aug.
