Well.....we have successfully had a mortgage application approved and we have had an offer accepted on a house we viewed at the weeknd ! We have had to go with a 50% deposit - but repayments will be same s our rent and in 17 years time we wil be mortgage free !!! So yes...there is life after debt !!

bloomin big deposit though.
dont think id be able to save that much up even with no debts to pay.

back on track - unfortunately the deposit came at a price - I lost my beloved god mother 14 months ago and she remembered me !

Congrats - when you move you can buy something nice for the house in your "god mother name" - so when you look at it you can remember the times you spent together.

ginger3232 - I already have something in mind to do just that ! Her house sale completed today as well, and I went to the house this morning and had a chat with her to let her know what was happening ! I know she would be extremely happy for us !
