Following on from a number of forum posts over the last few weeks, I have spoken to the IPs at Grant Thornton, and exceptional customer service is of the utmost importance to them.

The Blair Endersby IVAs were only transferred to the Belfast office on 18 May, after the closure of the Blair Endersby office in Manchester. The Belfast office hours are 8.45am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, which are different to the Blair Endersby opening hours, but they are staffed by friendly and effecient people who understand how worrying this will be for all of their new clients in the early days.

All those clients transferred to Grant Thornton will have already received a welcome letter giving the relevant contact details for the Belfast office. For information purposes the customer service telephone number is 0844 3511605 and the email address is ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com.

Please do bear with these guys - they are good people and really do want your IVAs/variations and closure to all work out for you. It is not easy taking over another firm's work, and they will get round to all of you as soon as they can.

Thanks Mel,
I am trying to be patient , difficult when the first dealing you have with them are telling you there could be a possible breach of your IVA. I do understand that they have only just took over, and the request for my payslips came at the same time, I sent them in to BE on 29th April, so they are caught up in the transfer, I will give them a little longer, I was able to get a confirmation of earning form from the council for my accounts department to fill in so the immediate need for the return of the wageslips has gone.
If in a few weeks we have still not had them returned I will contact them again and see if they have found them if not I will get send in my bank statements so they can see what was paid in as confirmation of my wages if they will accept that.
Once again thank you for interviening, I am grateful that we have you here to be able to interviene for us, could you not suggest to them that maybe a rep on here would help to reassure peoples and give people another avenue to contact them.

I managed to speak to the IVA dept yesterday for the first time in over a week, they arranged a phone call meeting on 24th june with someone to arrange my variation meeting, I had already done this about 6 weeks ago with BE and sent all documents, they said they were not sure if they had these. Not sure how long it will take from then. Be have not passed on to them what was agreed in my call with them so they will

I think that the guys prefer to concentrate their efforts on running the business on a day to day basis, but I will always feedback issues that I feel they need to be kept aware of to them.

Thanks for that Mel. But is it normal that their letter doesn't even include who our new IP is? I am really disappointed especially as in the last few months before the closure of the BE Manchester office I had actually established a very good rapport with my BE IP :-(

Are you sure it doesn't tell you who will be acting for you? It will either be Mark Allen or Gareth Neill - or perhaps if you are lucky both!

My correspondence with them was from Gareth Neill, although it just says Supervisor under his name, is that Belfast speak for IP. [:D][:D]

Mine says mark Allen - supervisor at the bottom of the letter.

Just to let other posters know that have not read my thread on "my worst nightmare in a IVA is here"
I got through to GT within a few minutes & they were most understanding of the dilemma I had on my hands.
They accepted I needed a payment break straight away and authorized it within immediate effect.
I hope you all manage to sort your proposal/IVA issues & F&F with GT, I'm sure they are doing their best.

Supervisor is the term used in an IVA to decribe the office held by the Insolvency Practitioner - so the letter is quite in order and you now have one of the best IPs in the business looking after you.

Glad to see everything is working out for you Mrs K you have had the most amazing bad luck throughout your IVA.

I have given up with GT now and am just waiting to see what they do now, I emailed them at the beginning of last week with no reply to date. It could just be that the wage slips turn up and everything is OK, if not I am certain I will hear eventually.[:D][:D] I did scan in this months wage slip and email it off to them today, wont take the chance with snail mail and office workers now, at least this way if they cant find it all I have to do is press a few keystokes to resend it.[:D][:D]

Hey Pandy,
Not that it will be of much help to you but just wanted you to know that I finally received an email from GT myself yesterday in response to certain queries.(After waiting just over 3 weeks). They were very apologetic about the delay in response and that basically they are working their socks off to get through the 'work log queue' as quick as they can. Hopefully you will absolutely hear something very soon. Fingers crossed that you do!

Thank you pandy,
It really took alot of thought & I was so worried about phoning GT up. I think because I had the knowledge & a plan on how to pay it back across really helped. I explained I did not want to add it onto the end & they said well we always explore the other options first. They gave me the option to repay it across 12 months & worked out straight away what it would be, but I want it sorted B4 the 4 review & came ip with the figure I had planned, so very on the ball so to speak.
I really do think you are going to be ok & I'm sure they will get to you as judo said. I'm still waiting for a reply from a email with a P60 etc attached sent on the 16th. X

Hi
It would be better if Grant Thornton could post themselves on the forum in future.
I am sure they would find it beneficial
Regards

They would never have the time - those guys work harder than I do!
