I know from my IP that creditors by law have to let me know under the CCA if they are registering a default but a month after my approval, Santander are continuing to register defaults against me, I have had 3 letters in the last 2 days, I thought that once an IVA was in place that they couldn't continue to default me? Can anyone clarify?

They can continue to default you lem. Once your IVA is completed you can then start to clean up your files. The creditors do it so that if your IVA fails the defaults are already there!
Once you have completed then you can write to the creditors and tell them to remove the defaults. One of my creditors has been defaulting me every month since I started.

Some creditors will default every year even after IVA but it's nothing to worry about as they are legally obliged to remove then once IVA completed and back to the date IVA was accepted. It's nothing to worry about as it can all be tidied up at the end of your IVA,

It's something that doesn't bother me particularly either. Once I've completed will be time to tackle the creditors!

I'll be leaving it until then and then will need lots of help and advice as it's not something I've even looked at before. x

Never mind Lem - at least you've got loads of scrap paper through the post. We use ours for lighting fires, scribbling lists, cleaning the parrot cage, etc etc!!!

Just think - it the first time that Santander have been known to give things away(apart from personal information) - even if it is multiple defaults

Indeed Kallis...lets get over the hangover from our ill perceived parties, then start tidying up the litter.

Don't worry, my creditors defaulted my accounts up to 4 months after the IVA had started, I then wrote to them once the IVA had completed and now all removed!! Hurrah!
The time soon goes by, you'll soon be debt free!

As our trust deed only runs for 3 1/2 years I will have plenty of time to mull over my collection of defaults before I can ask for them to be sorted.
