I have had an Iva since Aug 2008, and been paying every month. We can't have kids so we have been approved to adopt 2 young children. What will happen to my Iva. I still have until 2014 for it to finish. I don't want it to end as we have been paying every month and never had any issues, but we will not be able to afford what we are paying now.

I really hope you can sort something out with your IP so you can continue the IVA and not compromise the adoption.

What absolutely marvellous news, which probably puts your debt issues completely into perspective. I would not rush to make a decision about the IVA yet - wait and see what benefits you are entitled ot in terms of child benefit and tax credits, and how the little ones are going to affect your lifestyle and budget before you leap to amend the terms of the IVA. It may been that you simply need to broker an extended payment break whilst they settle in, and then even you might be suprised as to how much of the additional expenditure can be absorbed within your existing budget to make ongoing IVA payments more affordable.
