Hi Everyone

I'm looking for some advice. In September 2008, I entered into an IVA which I settled early last year with help from family.

Natwest bank was one of the debtors included in the IVA. I've just checked my credit file out of interest and found that I have a CCJ issued by Natwest in January 2009. At this time, they had entered into the IVA so surely, they could not also issue a CCJ. Also, I did not receive any paperwork regarding this CCJ (I suspect they sent it to my old address).

I have spoken to my IVA company but as the accout with them is now closed, they are not interested in chasing it up. I want this CCJ removed as it is another negative on my credit file that I don't need.

Has anybody got any advice about how I could get this removed?

Many thanks

Hi and welcome.

You could write to Natwest enclosing a copy of your completion letter and explain that they were included and ask them to remove the ccj.

Hi JoJo

I don't think Natwest should have issued the ccj after the IVA was approved, maybe a forum expert can clarify.

My suggestion is to write to Natwest and ask them to clarify. It could be an admin error and are notorious for delayed communications.

Regards

Mark
