Great news, after a couple of delays with our completion, Declan kindly emailed us a copy of our certificate on Monday, signed off by our Supervisor and dated 13 September, the hard copy is now on it's way having being mailed out to us later on Monday.

When an envelope marked 'private and confidential' arrived in the post this morning I was really excited, my OH got one too. However, no certificate ... this was a letter from OtherOptions.co.uk, the trading name of Portwood Financial, suggesting 'transfer your pension if you have one and pay yourself a 25% fee to spend on whatever you like .. money to buy a car, take a holiday, put the kids through uni etc, etc ....'.

We had plenty of letters from 'ambulance chasers' at the beginning of our IVA so I wondered if they have made an assumption about our completion based on trawling the register and looking at our start date, rather than finding the information from some other source, which would be quite worrying. Has any one else on here who has completed or passed the 5 year point in their IVA has received one of these letters?

On a more cheerful note, I will post again when we get that hard copy in our hands - in the meantime I have some shredding to do!

Thanks all. We will probably wait until Friday for the champers as OH has to leave for work at an unearthly hour on weekdays - of course, not that we would have a thick head anyway ...!

Thanks again Declan, I know that there a number of us on here who appreciate all the kind efforts that you have put in, your help has been invaluable. Thankyou also for the emailed copy, it makes waiting for the post more bearable and I know the original will be here any day now.

That's great new! But really low on Portwood, how awful, that could be so tempting to some who have gone through an IVA but still haven't resolve their issues

On the other hand, whilst I don't agree with Portwood, how many people on here actually have a pension they could try and release? There are criteria that have to be met before you can do it anyway.

Both myself and my husband received those same letters earlier this week..... just added them to the shredding pile. They must have an old copy of the register, as we don't appear on the register now.

I got a letter from them this morning too! saying congrats that your IVA has come to an end....As my IP hasnt sent me my completion certificate yet, its nice to know someone has advised me that I have presumably been removed off the IVA register!! even if it was Otheroptions.co.uk!![:D]

Presumably companies can get a list each week of who has been removed from the register the previous week/month?
