Agree with Andy.
www.iva.com is an excellent start point and you can look at all sorts of companies on there and give one or two a ring for some free advice.

Hi Rebekah - welcome to the forum - its always best to speak to 2 or 3 companies to get a feel for yourself and see where you feel most comfortable and informed.
The reviews Andy points you towards give a good indication of who are good companies to approach as are some of the recommendations on here.
regards,

Hi there
I was contacted by the money group some months ago (cold called). I realised that an IVA was my best bet in order to sort out my finances. The guy who had phoned me was VERY pushy and I agreed for them to propose an IVA for me. I sent off my information, but they wanted 2 months money upfront for their fees. I found this site and realised that they were an introducer company, and not an Insolvency Practitioner as such. As I hadn't actually paid them any fees, I decided to contact a couple of other companies, and went with Melanie Giles. The money group weren't too happy with me withdrawing my business from them, but I felt so much better going with Mel.
My IVA was agreed a few weeks ago, and I'm happy that I found this site and changed who I went with. I just felt uneasy about the money group to be honest.

It really is best to shop around as a 5 year iva is a long time to work with a company you arent happy with.
And I was always avoid anyone who cold called me!!!

Hi Rebekah, It is really important to be with a company that you can trust and who will support you through the IVA. We were with Debt Free Direct. Hope you get all the info you need. Hugs
