I have an IVA. I think theyre a great idea, and would like to know if i would be allowed to work for a debt management company as an adviser whilst Im in it.

Hi.

There is no reason why you can't work in the debt advice business while in an IVA - you have a much better idea than most.

Have a look at some of the companies who post on here or via iva.com and see if any of them have any vacancies.

Why not? I'd be happy to take on anyone in an IVA if I were looking for new staff, and also if anyone were to be bankrupt. It is about time employers were allowed to discriminate against any potential employeees - after all we would be slated if choice was based on creed, colour or religion.

I think those of us in or out of an IVA would be excellent advisors - we've been there and done it!
