Hi,
Today the last IVA payment was taken from my bank. I know I should be excited, but until I get that certificate of completion, I wont be able to relax!
Should I contact them this week or wait until they get in touch? I'm with DFD, never missed any payments etc, should it be a straight forward process now?
Good luck to everyone on here on there journey - it will be worth it in the end, even though sometimes you dont think it is..my 5 years has flown by..and I have learnt some real lessons in life..i'm only 30 now so hopefully can get my life back on track.[:)]
PS - I only found this site the other day and oh how I wish id found this years ago!

Hi Sam and welcome.
Congratulations on making your last payment.
You need to confirm with DFD exactly how long it will take to get your letter. It may take a few weeks depending on how long it takes them to tie up the loose ends.
Good luck for your debt free future!

Please make sure you cancel your standing order / direct debit only when you have been confirmed as last payment received.....you can then wait for your certificate in the comfort knowing that your money is your money - well done - a great achievement !

Well done! I was also with DFD and usually you should have your cert within a month or two. Ours has been delayed due to one creditor not putting in their claim so we are still waiting for the cert although we finished payments in June. everything is in now so should be any day now. DFD are very efficient so I imagine it will all be straight forward for you. Good luck for your debt free future.

Thankyou all, I will give DFD a call later this week to make sure the last payment has been received ok and how long it will take for my certificate. I will also be checking all my credit records and get them sorted in due course...I dont know where I would have been if it wasnt for my IVA, its taught me so much about life, I've grown up so much in the last 5 years. Time to start rebuilding my life

good luck to you all for the debt free future.

Hi Sam, We were with DFD I'd give it maybe 3 days and ring them to check it's been received at their end then they will tell you to cancel your standing order. Best wishes
