Hey guys and girls,

I've got another question...

I've recently found out that someone I know very well entered into an IVA, my question is, I also know that they went on holiday to somewhere warm and sunny a year into their agreement with money back from PPI. Do I say something or keep my mouth shut? I did everything by the book with regards to my IVA, and am a little miffed that I struggled when other seem to get away with 2 weeks all inclusive when I would have thought all that PPI money should have gone into the creditor pot..

I know where you are coming from but personally, I wouldn't say anything.

Hopefully they will get found out anyway.

I doubt they will but I'd just let it go.

If they were taking money from the government in benefits that they weren't entitled to etc I'd have no hesitation to.

I know many would disagree but well that's my view....

Are you wondering whether to say something to them - or to their IVA company? Are you sure of the circumstances i.e. that they deliberately withheld notifying their Supervisor so they could keep the money?
As they have already spent the money then it is probably too late to encourage them to declare it. I have thought about this before in response to a similar question, however, infuriating as it is, I would not want to be the one to 'blow the whistle' In any case they might well be found out as these things have a way of coming to light and the outcome for them could be serious - definitely not worth an all inclusive holiday in the sun.

Personally speaking, I would leave it.

I certainly wouldn't want to blow the whistle - these things have a habit of coming back to haunt you.
