If you won Millions on the lottery bought yourself a patch of land and could build your own house what would you have/include in the plans. It's healthy to dream and its actually great fun to put down what you would have in your dream house.

I will look forward to seeing how many of you have good imaginations I will start with mine below

My house would be white with a whitehouse feel to the front with the pillars by the front entrance. As you walk in the big double doors I would have central wide marble staircase leading upstairs. There would be exits to the left for a entertaining living room with spacious seating, big television on the wall that when turned off becomes a painting. I would have a lovely fireplace fake but really beautiful and give off real heat. The exit to the right of the staircase will be a large dining room for entertaining guests. At the rear of the staircase it would lead into a courtyard as the center of the house with a gorgeous swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room and sauna. It would have a retractable roof and lovely selection of sun loungers by the pool and nice comfortable outdoor sofas on decking with palm trees. To the right would be an entrance into a large kitchen with an island work surface in the middle and a large table for informal dining or for a cuppa.

I can't believe my mate has turned up before I can write more as we are going pictures so I will just quickly add what other rooms I would have without the description awww :(

Pool/Snooker room old fashioned with a bar and seating and dart board and fruit machine and quiz machine.
Intimate living room for close friends/family big tv etc
Cinema Room with Armchairs and foot rests, POPCORN MACHINE ETC the works
Office with nice wooden dark desk, gorgeous computer on top
underground car park garage with a machine that lifts you up to the driveway with your car when you leave :P
book case with special hidden lift into bedroom ;)
large kingsize bed with en suite sunken bath etc
dressing room with lots of storage
several other double en suite rooms for guests. Large garden with tennis court and electric gates.

Gotta dash but I am sure there's more lol. Look forward to seeing your replies :D

None of the above!! I would want a house similar to that in the film 'Rebecca', especially in the location it is set in.

Would not want a tennis court at all!! Just lovely, lovely gardens taken care of by a gardener so that I can just sit there and enjoy!

For the winter months it would be a villa in Florida!

As per a previous post I made, if I won millions on the lottery and haviing now completed my IVA I would look to see how I could spend some of that money helping those most vulnerable in debt.

No idea where I would start, worry about it when my bank balance shows £1000000000

OK,now in the real world, yeah massive house, nice cars and then I would do as described above.

:-)

Sorry Dave, that's all you're going to get from me!!! I wouldn't even buy an over the top car. Quite happy with the one I have at the moment.

I would, however, gift certain really good friends and some family members some money.

I would also bung a fair amount across to RNLI who I have always admired.

Lol, ok, not quite what you are thinking but..

Paying mortgages of all direct family

Nice house for me and family with a garden.

Paying for my mother to go to Memphis as an Elvis fan to visit Graceland. A thing she has dreamt of doing for 50 Years.

Last one is of course top of the list if I win...

I am going to be totally boring here, and say that I moved into my perfect home last summer. An Edwardian red brick bungalow, bedroom, bathroom ,kitchen, living room with loads of character features. After all, how much space does a single person need. I would however arrange for a chauffeur driven car to take me to the airport so that I could use my round the world ticket RIGHT NOW, and I would just go with the wind and see where I ended up...

Sounds lovely Janet.

I'd also go back to New York to visit my friends - not seem them for a few years.

Oh and a trip to the Maldives again!!

We would design a log cabin to live in with a central atrium, netted for the parrot to enjoy (with lots more parrots purchased!).

Next to the house would be another log cabin, housing a gym and heated swimming pool.

Loads of donkeys, alpacas, pygmy goats and chickens in the garden.

A Range Rover evoke sat in the driveway, with an Aston Martin in the garage for dry sunny days.

Okey doke :)

A lawned front garden which is at leat 400 meters from the front door. Locked front gates with a vide camers entry and walls as high as I can get all around. The back garden will be at least a mile long :) loads of out buildings for the kids to play in and me to escape..of couse a shed for the husband :) then inside..a large marbled hall way large staircase infront with spindles and a balcony. 10 bedrooms off the landing. Most en suite enough for all my step kids our kids and the grand parents...downstairs a pool room and games room. Massive room for playstation etc. Lounge with high ceilings. A state of the art kitchen and a cook . Then a conservatory with full glass ad a roof that opens out...family to go in it and laughter..I can dream can't I. Would set up a charity too for debt relief for children in care. Would take them all in if I could lol!

I actually wouldn't want all that security - it indicates that you have something worth stealing!!
