Hello all
I am currently getting all our things together for our review. This will take us in to year 4!! Oh my how time flys by. 4th year already. Our paperwork has to be back shortly but as you all know, council tax and water bills and tv license do not arrive this early. What percentage do you think I should be adding roughly as they aren't likely to come down!! And don't get me started on car insurance! ha ha thanks

Hi marce in my case my payrises offset my increase in expenditure so my payments remained the same, its a different kettle of fish these days the way the economy is with pay freezes,i would put down what you feel comfortable with, you could use the RPI as a guide and see what your IP thinks.

Thanks, but what is RPI?

What did you do last year? Can't see council tax going up by much this year like last year. Utilities will depend where you live. As we all get charged at different times of year why not call & ask them what they project your costs will be.
I know with payplan you can adjust your budget online & it informs IP. Just note down why the changes.

I believe that council tax is not rising at all again this year - it's been frozen again by the government.

I've never adjusted my stuff online with Payplan, I wait for them to speak to me with my annual review.

I've just sent all my paperwork for my 4th annual review too and wonder how much will go up as my insurance due Feb and March etc., but I just send in current price and will adjust accordingly with IP direct if need be. We're nearly there!

My review comes at the wrong time to, I & E just completed.

I am sure bus fares will go up soon and petrol is starting to creep up. Also although even if they say there is a council tas freeze have you noticed it still goes up by a few pounds?
I am due a small wage increase in April which will problably cover these things but of course now I have to pay some of that over!

Will speak to case officer as and when this happens but not sure how that will go.

The government haven't frozen council tax. What they have done is offered councils that do freeze it a one off grant to help ease the pain. If they choose not to freeze, they will not get this grant.

I guess if any projected increase will bring in more than this grant, they will go with it.

The government has shot itself in the foot here, because the councils proposing an increase have, possibly, increased more than they might have in order to exceed the grant income.

Anyhoo ... right off topic, for which I apologise.

I think havering is freezing their council tax thank goodness considering I pay £151 a month for a 2 bed flat which is very high in my opinion

I think Spelthorne is freezing the council tax as well. We pay £125 a month for a 1 bed maisonette and don't seem to get a lot for it apart from various bins!
