Hi and welcome.

Sorry to hear about your health problems.

Speak to your IP as soon as possible - it may be that your creditors will accept your payments to date as a full and final offer to close the IVA down.

Only they can help you though.

Are you in an IVA or is it a scottish protected trust deed(going by your name)?

Given its a medical condition can your employers not look for other employment for you(not the same as driving a bus but just because you have to inject insulin doesnt mean you cant work!).

Have you a union rep at work?

Paul

Oh and your team is rubbish!!

Could your employer sort you out other employment though? I do agree with Paul that whilst you may not be able to continue in your current role, there maybe something else you can do.

Falkirkbairn - not to sure how long you have been diabetic - but some of the regulations around driving have changed (2011) - Diabetic UK gives full information as well as back up support on all aspects of this and employment support.

Would you get a medical redundancy payout at all? Really you will have to discuss this with your IP but creditors may accept what you have paid to date and close the IVA,equally if you get a payout you may be able to offer part of it to close things down.

My team is currently 3 down so I can hardly rip the pee out of the bairns!!!

hi, it's a small company and there is no other employment on offer as i have checked with my line manager the only option i have is to seek alternative employment but in this day and age i dont think i will have a lot of luck as i am getting near to retirement age.

I would certainly speak to your IP about getting your payments accepted in view of your health and your age - I'm sure they will be able to put that forward.

ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com make sure that IVA forum is all that is put in the subject line.

She is usually pretty good at picking up on things.

The Diabetic UK site sounds like a good place to start - your company may not know about changes to the rules. If you can't keep your job, then your IP will br able to help bring your iva to a close x
