hi Michael if you are having problems with your IVA company, your first port of call is to speak with your IP and see if it can be sorted in house through their internal complaints procedures, have you tried this route of action?

Hi Michael. I am sure the IP's are just as frustrated by this VAT issue ... it will mean a lot of hard work for no reward for them to sort it out. Far from being their fault it was dropped on them from a great height following a Court case with Paymex.
It has caused a lot of anguish on all sides ( probably not for Paymex though!).
Many IP's have been working hard behind the scenes to try to sort this out, but have been hamstrung by conflicting legal opinion and slow response from HMRC.
It does look as though there is now some light at the end of this particular tunnel. However, I suspect VN would like to complain about this as much as you !

Unfortunately the VAT issue is a big thing at the moment and it is not Varden Nuttals fault. There are a lot of IP's who aren't closing at the moment.
Don't think there is anything you can do Michael.

Hi Michael,
Im sorry that the delay in closure due to the VAT has affected you. However there is some positive news that I have just posted on another thread:
"Hi all, quick update. Varden Nuttall have received confirmation from HMRC that the VAT claim is being processed and a cheque should be sent in the next week or so.
I expect that other IP's will receive similar confirmation over the coming weeks.
This should be a massive relief to all those who are awaiting closure of their arrangements."
In regards to your closure Michael I can confirm that we will be closing cases in order of when they were due to be closed. If you would like to email me directly on
gareth.buckley@vardennuttall.co.uk I will be happy to discuss your specific case and give you a timescale for closure.
Regards,
Gareth
