Iva finishes this year. Hubby and I have a joint account with Lloyds tsb. Which we have had for 5 yrs.
We are soon splitting (but will still be making our IVA payments)
I am moving out and need to open my own account for my wages to be paid in and direct debits to go out. Approached our bank to see if I could have an additional basic cash account in just my name but was refused. Really panicking now.

Is there anyway of someone else opening an account for me (like my mum) and me having access and using it for my direct debits etc .....,

Any advice appreciated I have so much stress with
The split and now this problem!

Thank you.

Hi Baz,

Sorry to hear that you will be splitting.

Try the Co-op - they are very supportive of those in an IVA. The basic cashminder account can opened over the phone or in branch.

Sorry to hear about your split but congratulations on baring the end of the iva! Nat West also seem to be iva friendly so they'd be worth trying too x

I hope you get it sorted, all above are IVA friendly banks so hopefully one of those will help. I'm with natwest and no complaints from me x
