I am applying for a new job working as a store manager for the british heart foundatin. I am currently 2 years into an IVA, but my main point is the BHF require a credit check on offering the job, will my IVA affect my chances even though the job isn't neceesairly of a financial nature? In my current employment, I held postin of manager where my IVA didn't matter

Hi Carol and welcome to the forum
I would not have thought a job with a charitable organisation would be prejudiced just because you are in an IVA - but charities have quite strict financial rulings that they do have to follow instigated by the charities commission, so it may be best to be up front with them about your financial circumstances and question whether this could have any bearing on your job offer. It most certainly should not in my opinion, but best to err of the side of caution perhaps.
