hi my variation meeting is tomorrow at 10.30 a.m and its just me in the iva but my partner has now decided since last week that he has given up his job and set himself up with his own small business that now means he is self employed, im a little worried now as when my yearly review is due he will no longer have payslips to prove what he is putting into our finances even though the iva is mine, just wondering what they ask for at review time if he has no payslips and he has only just set up??? confused hope this makes sense thanks

Firstly good luck for variation meeting tomorrow.
I'm unsure what is required when you're in self-employment but one of our knowledgeable posters or experts will. x

Your partner's trading accounts and tax return will be fine evidence of his earnings Kyla, and as they may not be available at the time of your next review if he has not completed a full year of trading, and estimated position should suffice. As you say he is not party to the IVA, technically he does not need to produce anything, but it is usually better to err on the side of co-operation in these matters to avoid your IP becoming suspicious.

Unusual in my experience to see payments increased at a variation meeting, but so long as you are happy and the payments are affordable that is the main thing. Well done to all concerned.
