Andy Davie has kindly authorised me to post this on the Forum.

We have persuaded Ageas Insurance Ltd (formerly Fortis) to agree to offer through DMS Tradesman's Public Liability to people in IVA's on standard terms, with confirmation in writing that their being in an IVA does not affect the insurance contract in any way. We offer monthly premiums or annual premium with discount of 10% (rebate of half of our 20% commission).

If you already have this cover, but have not declared your IVA to the insurer, you do not know whether you are covered until you try to claim, and then it will be too late – a large claim could push you from IVA into Bankruptcy.

If you already have this cover, we would still like to quote you, so we can see exactly how competitive we are.

E-mail me your name, telephone number, and when it will be convenient for you to take my call, and I will call you. Our Telephone Helpline is open, manned by Underwriters not call centre staff, from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm every day.

Hi

We have had many posts from people in IVAs who can't obtain public liability insurance so John's products will be very welcome.

John is a long standing forum expert and I can personally recommend him to forum members.

Regards

That is good to know John and I will bear it in mind for any of my clients who are having difficulties.

Hope you are all well - it seems ages since we last had a chat.

Hi John! This is such a big problem for our self-employed posters that you're literally throwing some of them a lifeline. Good to see a big insurance company backing you!

I feel this will be a great help to a lot of posters and always good to have somewhere to signpost people too. x
