Hi I would appreciate some advice if possible.I'm currently on a DMP but looking at going onto an IVA as I have the chance of either contract work or permenant work,I have equity in my property in joint names and worried if going onto an IVA I will lose the family home? what would be the best course of action is it an IVA@ or could there be an alternative option on refinacing my debt, any constructive advice would greatly appreciated.

Hi there Tom and welcome to the forum

An IVA is the debt solution that is probably the safest with regard to protecting your property - but specific advice can only be given when we know more about your circumstances and this can be difficult to on a web based forum.

I suggest that you arrange to speak off-line directly to an insolvency practitioner who can run through all of the options for you thus enabling you to make a reasoned choice about the best way forward. In the meantime keep those IVA payments going.

Hi and welcome from me as well.

Agree with Mel that you need to speak to an IP. Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews and give one or two a ring for some free advice. They will go through everything with you.
