Hi,

I completed my IVA last June and received my completion certificate last month.

I'm told i need to send my IVA completion certificate to Experian, Callcredit and Equifax. Unfortunately none of the above
will talk to me unless i register with them, but to do this i need a credit / debit card. Obviously i don't have one due to
my IVA - only a building society account. I'd rather not just send the completion certificate to a generic address with no-one
to contact to find out if it's been received.

I've also been advised to check my credit report and write to any creditors that defaulted me after my IVA was accepted.
But again i need to have a card to register so they can give me my report??!

Can anyone help with this?

Have you considered approaching one of the High Street Banks to see if you are able to open one of their basic accounts which comes with an electron card - I am with the Halifax and have a Easy cash account which gives an electron card and all three of the credit agencies allow me to use it on their sites.

My thoughts are you are so close to June (circa your 6 years) that if you do have a paper report at the princley sum of £2.00 and find stuff not quite right you'll be on June before it's resolved. So why not wait till post June and it should be wiped clean, then check.

I did the online £2.00 with experain,which was long winded but I did get it. Then tried equifax, after a lot of complaning got it. And callcredit who make it near immpossible to get it online anyway. I failed the verifcation proccess (my address from their drop down bar and my debit card) yeh right. Still they had no problemm in offering me the free for 30days then £15 a month pahh

Of the two I did get they did read quite different and still a number of defaults but I'll wait till September (my 6 years) is then up

I did mine with Nationwide they let me have a cash card plus (visa debit)card during my IVA

Hi Dave - it is a crazy situation to have to get a card to register but it will probably do you well to have a debit card anyway with one of the basic accounts so it might be worth doing. Or you could post a copy of your certificate recorded delivery so you know it has got into the right hands.

So although i didn't receive my completion certificate until only a month or so ago, the 6 years is from the acceptance date of my IVA?
