Hello,

I've been in my IVA for 2 years and myself and partner have a joint mortgage together.
He wants to put in a claim for PPI but I was wondering if he claims from our mortgage company, would it go straight into my IVA.

He pays the mortgage himself, from his account, and I pay other household bills.
Because it's a joint mortgage, would that happen or would the cheque go straight to him, and he's allowed to keep it?

Doesn't seem fair to go to my IVA, seeing as he pays that part of the bills.

Welcome to the forum - regardless on who pays the mortgage - its a joint mortgage - you need to check your proposal and then speak to your IVA company about this - it maybe they split the PPI 50/50 - but this needs to be confirmed

I can imagine when the I+E were discussed a amount was allocated to the mortgage repayment - certainly if the mortgage is a straight 50/50 split
