My prospective partner, also 60years old has an IVA. If he moves in with me could my occupational pension income be at risk at all?

Hi there and welcome to the forum
No - your partner's IVA will have no effect on your pension income. His IVA is private to him, and should not effect you in any way.

Melanie's of course completely correct that there will be no direct effect on your pension. However, your partner's I&E review would presumably need to reflect the new circumstances, so it may be worth giving some thought to how the bills are shared out and establish a new pattern of payments.

Hi Suzy and welcome
As the other posters have stated your income will not be affected. The only possible change is that your partner's IVA payments may change as a result of his change in circumstances

Thank you so much for the help. I will also refer partner to the forum as some of his experiences sound very different from the norm. Admin charges seem enormous and after 2 years not much if anything has been paid off the debt. I will get him to join and thanks for the advice it has certainly put my mind at rest.

I'm looking forward to meeting him! All ivas are individual so don't be alarmed about his experience being different! We do have some very knowledgeable posters though who'll be able to give him a steer or at least food for thought.
