Your Credit reports will be shot until 6 years is up from the start of your IVA.

If you have completed your IVA, check your credit reports to make sure that the IVA and all defaults are removed. You need to make sure that any default dates are no later than your IVA approval date and they should all drop off at the 6 year mark. Any defaults with the incorrect date that are still there, you will need to write to the data controller to have the dates corrected. Hope this helps. You could try Moneybarn for finance for a car but they may need a hefty deposit..

Yes, once we had cleared up our credit reports and the IVA was off too, I got a good deal through Car Loans 4 U, that was some 3 months after everything had been removed and we had received our completion certificate.
