Hi All

This is my first posting on this forum and to be honest I did not know it existed until one of my friends, who is also in an IVA told me about it.

I am separating from my husband, after 16 years, and do not have my own bank a/c other than an ESavings a/c with Santander.

We both have independent IVA's so its been fairly straight forward to sort our financials out etc and I'm going to continue living in the house for the the time being.

I think I will need a new current a/c as I will need to pay the mortgage, my IVA and bills etc. Who would be te best bank to approach when you are already in an IVA.

I know when we started the IVA process we had to change banks but that was a couple of years ago.

I find Nat West to be very good x

The Co-op come recommended and I believe Barclays are quite good as well.

We started out our IVA with opening a basic account with Santander, and have now updgraded to an Everyday Current Account with them. Still have the basic account as well. Not sure what they are like now, as we started our IVA back in 2005. I understnd from this forum, that the Co-op Cash Minder Account is very good.
