Hello.
Me and my husband are in a joint iva and its now just gone past the 2 year mark. We pay £480 per month, I pay £120.00 a month and he pays £360 per month. We have three children. For the last few weeks my husband has been off work ill and his pay as he dosent get sick pay has been reduced to £65 per week. He will be off for about another month, so the only wages coming in fully are mine im monthly paid and get between £600 and £800 per month depending on what shift i work. Our mortgage payment alone is £700 per month We have spoken to our mortgage company as we have only managed to be able to affird half of this months mortgage payment, they have allowed us to spread the cost of the shortfall over the next three months this will add £106 per month onto our mortgage payment, we have also not been able to afford our last months council tax or gas monthly payment. As you can imagine we are really wooried and this is putting a huge strain on our daily life and our marraige and my husband already suffers with depression as it is....so i was just wondering would the iva company allow us to reduce our next few monthsmonthly payment until we get back on our feet with the mortgage , council tax etc etc as we really really do want this IVA to suceed as we have come so far and were beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. any advice would be realy apprecaited as none of our family members even know we are in an iva so cant talk to them about it . thanks in advance everyone.
