I wonder when Karol is about she could have a look into the letters that have been sent regarding PPI from GT.
I was told our completion certificate would be with us in October, we would have been waiting 6 months.
Just really worried it will drag on longer.
I am sure we did not have any PPI.

I suspect that GT want to independently check whether there was any PPI sold on any accounts included within your IVA, or accounts which may have been paid off prior to the IVA commencing. Hopefully Karol may pick up on this post tomorrow and be able to confirm the GT position either on-line or off-line to you directly.

thank you Melanie, hopefully Karol will get in touch.
I have sent so many emails this week and not get reply.
Contacted them on Monday by phone after waiting over 20 mins, got though to a lady who said she did not deal with ppi, she said she was only there to take calls because they where so busy, she did say she would make sure someone would ring me on Monday to answer my concerns. Monday as come and gone and still nothing.
Kind regards Joan

I received the following reply yesterday to my EIC query sent last week:

I wish to advise that we have received several queries with regards to the letter that was issued to Grant Thornton clients discussing claiming unfair bank charges through EIC. In response to this Grant Thornton will be issuing a post on the IVA forum explaining the letter in more detail and the effect it will have on IVAs including those in closure. I anticipate this will be posted by the end of today.

I don't understand why the answer to my questions should be posted on the iva forum instead of being answered personally, nevertheless it's no big deal as long as I do get an answer.

Unfortunately the anticipated explanatory post has still not arrived so I still don't know what impact this issue is going to have on my completion certificate [:(!][:(!][:(!]

I think it is a credit to your firm that they are prepared to post on a public forum information which could help all clients understand these letters better, but this does need broadcasting to the wider audience which may well be in hand

Unfortunately, having said yesterday that they would post by the end of the day, they haven't so far done so. Nor have they issued any kind of further comment about the delay or when such a post / explanation may now be forthcoming.

Credit is given where due, so far it is not.

Let's hope the promised post appears today. I agree that if someone says they are going to do something by a certain time all effort should be made to stick to that timeline
