We were with Dfd and got our certificate within 3 months.
Can''t advise on the full and final part of your question as ours was closed due to one early thanks to a third party helping us out.

thanks luluj
Mine also had 3rd party funds introduced. but DFD said that they couldnt close before the date the last payment was due which was Sept, despite the 3rd party funds being the exact amount of the last 5 payments due and everything being agreed by DFD in advance, with my last payment being made 13th April.
I couldnt understand why they had to wait 5 months to begin closure and they said they could only commence closure if they held a variation meeting, which they did 2 weeks ago. This made no sense to me, but i didnt have a choice, daft thing is, i may have well waited till sept, as the Variation meeting was only 7 weeks before i would have had to wait by their reconings anyway.
oh well, whats done is done & in fairness ive found DFD to be superb over the last 6 years; I cringe when i read the many posts re Grant Thorntons antics the last few weeks, their represenatative on here Karol im sure does a sterling job, but im of the opinion they are professional cowboys... again. no reference to Karol
thanks for your reply
