Hi

I would wait one more month and then contact the credit reference agenciesand question why it is still on there. Have you received the completion certificate and are you off the insolvency register ?

Hi and welcome Serenity, well done for having completed your IVA, hopefully as Andy has indicated in one month's time your name will have dropped of the credit reference agencies list, good luck. x

Hi Andy

Yes I have my certificate, and yes I am still on the insolvency register although it does state that it will remain on there for a further 3 months after completion. Is that right?

Hi
The register should update in less than three months in most cases.
Your credit files will start updating from the six year point.

The Court will tell the credit agencies once your removed from the Insolvency Register.

You only need to tidy up those with incorrect default dates - wait a month or so as some of the information takes a few weeks to update. The credit agencies will help.

BTW - don't even try for credit while there are any red marks on your file it'll just extend things further.
And creditors these days use increasingly sophisticated approval criteria and don't just rely on the credit agencies files. So whilst seeing a clean file feels great after the mess it got into it won't automatically guarantee approval particulalry with creditors who were in your IVA and wrote off money. Sorry.

The Court removing you from the register is the trigger for the credit file update. It just stops showing fairly soon after you certificate is issued and is or at least should be part of the IVA closure process
I wonder though if it'll drop off after 6 years even if not marked satisfied guess you'll find out in the next few days
The certificate is the important part with the final notice to creditors with that the rest is just process. I'm sure it'll clear soon
Congratulations on getting all the defaults removed I'm showing a default in 2009 at the minute but will sort it out when I've got more time. My IVA flag doesn't drop off until next spring.
Well done. It all feels odd to me still
