Hi,

Unless your paperwork states that there are funds put aside for your BR then they won't help you with it but will probably give you some advice.

If you don't want any extra expense then the forms can be filled in yourself.

Hi thanks for the message. I am with simple debt solutions. I contacted them today and asked them and they said that they do not deal with bankruptcy there. Although i am sure that their site says that they do.

Not all IVA companies deal with BR. Your IP should be able to advise you but you will most probably need to complete the forms yourself. It's not that difficult and you can get a lot of help from the forum.

Hi, some great advice here. I've said this on a number of occasions, be careful of other firms offering to assist you with the process as they may charge a fee and not really add any value. If your IP can't/won't assist you can present your own petition.

Out of curiosity why do you want to pursue the bankruptcy route if you're in an IVA ? Sam

Thank you melanie for your message. I am really starting to panic about everything now as i have decided that bankruptcy is def the best solution for me but am so scared as to where to go and what to do now.
I have a hundred and one questions and have been looking as loads of different sites that have come up on google and getting different answers about things especially about what income will be taken to pay the creditors during bankruptcy .

Have you asked them whether they would help you Dawn? Or have you tried your local CAB who will also do this for you free of charge. What part of the country are you in?

I have contacted them about situation. They know that me and my partner have separated and we are in an interlocking iva but they have told me this cannot be separated and that they don't deal with bankruptcy there.
I have been paying the iva on my own and i am only living on the benefits that i get.
