I know this has probably been asked a thousand times, but, can anyone tell me about car leasing after an IVA has finished. I have the chance of a job and would need a car so can anyone tell me where I could lease a car from. I've finished my IVA and now just waiting for the Completion Certificate, any day now I'm told. I don't really want to own one so leasing is the way for me I think. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
You could try moneybarn or carloans4u - both are amenable to those of us with a less than perfect credit record but the APR is high and you will need a decent deposit.

Good luck with the new job - the places Niobe recommended should be able to help with the car. They've helped posters in the past. X

Thanks Andrew, how can we make contact, I really want to lease as it suits me better. If you can help in that area that would be great, without the car I might not be able to keep the job.

You will only be able to make contact via frugal friends.

Hi there, moneybarn now offer finance to purchase cars as opposed to leasing.
We leased a car and to be honest it was an expensive option, but a lifeline at the time. Have you explored buying a car rather than leasing?

I have looked at both and the leasing is the best option for me, certainly at the moment. I will obviously consider purchase if I can't get lease, but lease will give me a newer car and more reliable for alot less outlay initially.

We used a broker to get the best car lease for us (needed more mileage than usual agreements).
Good luck and let us know how you get on!
