Hiya,

Every IP company expects you to be available if case they need to discuss and modifications etc, and some ask you to expect a call and some will email that you need to reply to.

This is perfectly normal though !

Hi, I had mine yesterday, it's perfectly normal, what it does mean is that you can hopefully get closure on the day, if there are any questions, meaning the weight is lifted off your shoulders. I took the morning off work and enjoyed the extra cup of tea. Good Luck to you.

jamster - you will be fine.

You will be expected to be on the end of the phone so that if there are any modifications then you can be asked about them and of course you want to find out that you've been accepted!!

Hi jamster247. Welcome to the forum. As said, it is normal. Not too long to wait now, so try and hold your nerve - it's more likely than not that it will be a positive outcome. Please let us know how it goes. x

Nothing at all to worry about, as said above, you might need to agree some modifications. These days they are generally about fees and need not overly concern us, but occasionally they will query an expense.

Good luck jamster. My wife and me had our meeting this morning. I got a call to tell me they had been accpeted subject to a few modifications which I had to discuss with my IP. Dead easy really.

It depends. Some do DD and, others, standing orders. Your IP will let you know.

We prefer direct debits but take cheques, debit card payments and standing orders if this is easier for the client.

We did once have a client who wanted to pay using a credit card he had not told us about but he was given short shrift!

We don't do direct debits, as we like our clients to remain in control of their money rather than the other way round. But we insist on standing orders - however a few self-employed clients like to pay by cheque.

I did have a disgruntled client once turn up at the office with a wheelbarrow of bags of 2p pieces to pay £200 of arrears on his account which he was disputing!
