Hi all

I have been in my IVA since August 2007 and with the exception of 2 minor wobbles (have had to take 2 payments break of 3 months and 6 months).Up until August of this year (2012) things were going fine then i lost my job (3rd job loss since 2007) and had trouble finding another job.

So i went through the normal procedure of informing my case supervisor and requested a 3rd payment break.
It took nearly 3 months to arrange the variation meeting and on the morning of the meeting it was postponed due to a change in my circumstances (i have found a new job but have had to relocate in order to get it) but am on substantially less money than i was on before (London wage vs East Midlands wage)&therefore have very little to no deposible income.

I have explain all this to my case supervisor and have asked if a viariation meeting can be arranged to see if my creditors will accept what i have paid so far + PPI money as a F&F but all i seem to be getting is fobbed off.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Have you put this in writing as a formal request?

I would do this setting out your new income and expenditure for your IP to present to creditors and ask for this to be dealt with asap.

Done that (on phone by post&by email) but either get no answer or "we will get back to you". In the mean time my arrears keep building (currently 5 months)

Which firm are you with and have you spoken directly to the Insolvency Practitioner who is responsible for your case?

Hello. I'm also with kingsgate. Took me 6 months in the same situation to get a variation meeting. Jan 14th. Hold on in there. They have worked hard for me. I'm sure they will sort you out

Thanks Little miss. Sending another letter to Kingsgate in the morning requesting a variation meeting asap and hopefully it will get arranged fairly quickly.

Good luck on the 14th

Ask to speak with your IP directly. They then ought to be able to tell you why a variation is taking so long to process, and give you an idea of timescale.
