Hi there, I have two questions here.

1st, I've settle my final IVA payment back in February 2012, and I am still waiting for my certificate. My question is am I eligible to apply for financial at this stage ? I am planning to buy a Motorcycle ?

2nd, I enter my IVA with my partner as a joint debt and he still making a monthly payment towards his IVA. My question is will my name clear after I received my certificate ? I heard my name still remain default until he make the final payment. Is that true ?

Hi and welcome, a lot depends on what your credit file says so you need to get hold of your credit report from each reporting agency (equifax, experian and callcredit) to see if there are any defaults on there registered after your IVA was approved that need to be removed and if your IVA is still active on there, any of this will hinder your chance of getting new credit.

The IVA will remain on your file until 6 years after the date which it started, regardless of when it was settled.

It's odd that you had a joint IVA with your partner that are ending on different dates? I'm not sure how that will affect your closure to be honest

Were your IVA's interlocking?

I am not too sure our IVA is interlocking... But we mean to finish our Final payment by January 2015. I was fortunate to settle mine earlier than 2015. And he still making monthly payment for his.

Also I did some searched on my credit rating and it said I am financial associated with my partner name.
