My car is facing more repairs on Friday and my mechanic advised me that if it is too much, then to get another car.
Can I get an Hire Purchase agreement on a car if I need to whilst being in an IVA.
I have four payments left on my IVA and I know it won't affect my future payments, so any advise would be much appreciated.
It is a Y Reg Peugeot and I was going to trade it in, when my IVA payments stopped.

You will need to get permission from your IP to take out a hire purchase agreement. He/She will need to speak to your creditors also. However, once your IVA has completed then you are free to do as you wish, however you may find that obtaining credit is difficult until your credit file is clear.
