Hello thank you to all on here that stopped me worrying about completing all the forms. I managed to get all the documentation and completed the last of the forms today details the why's about the debts.

It has gone in the post so should hopefully be with the company no later than next week.

Big relief that its done.

I opened a bank account with the coop who have automatically given me overdraft of £200 with a debit card and cheque book.

I am going to ask them to remove the overdraft but am I able to keep the debit card and cheque book or is that not allowed too.

How long does it normally take from sending the forms back to the company to finding out if iva has been approved?

I have stopped panicing for now, but will surely start up again wondering wether or not it will be approvel.

Any guidance welcome.

The IVA process normally takes 4-6 weeks and the vast majority are accepted without any problems

Yes you can keep the debit card and cheque book ...just ask them ti remove the overdraft facility...they were fine with us when we requested this

Thank you for answering for got to ask - c-op also opened a savings account is that ok to keep too.

The monies that the IVA company have aloocated for petrol, dentists, animal food, repairs etc can that be placed into the savings account as Im not going to be at the dentist or the hairdressers every month?

It's fine to have a savings account and the cheque book and debit card.

It's good to split your allowances up and you certainly sound like you're already on track with the IVA. Well done for that and I'm sure it won't be long before you're signing those proposals. All the best.

Good luck, it feels like a minefield at first but that is the same for everyone then you settle into the feeling of being in control. Great feeling when it comes!!! I knoe I have a long haul in front of me but I do feel in control at last.
