I have two payments left on my IVA. I am now being hounded daily to sign new T&C's and documents to enable a third party to claim mis-sold PPI.
When I explained I was pretty sure I wasnt mis sold, they wouldnt accept this answer and advised that unless I signed the necessary paper work they would not sign me off as completed.
I have been trying to seek impartial advice about this but no one seems to know any answers.
How can an IVA company wait until 2 months before to start this process?

The dreaded PPI. in my humble opinion it's best to sign it and let them investigate. Couple of posters did just that on here who didn't think they had a claim and one got in excess of 7k for the IVA pot. If however you are 100% you've not been missold pint it in writing. By allowing them to investigate may hopefully hold up your completion certificate.
Welcome to the forum. X

I agree with Lesley ....sign it and allow them to investigate....until they undertake this your completion certificate will be held up even further!

Agree with the others we have other posters who swear blind they weren't missold ppi or didn't even have it and when investigated it turns out they did and a few thousand went into the pot, ppi will always be an asset that can be claimed into your iva even once it's completed so its best to just let them get on with it, although I think a few ips are now looking at being able to sign off a completed iva whilst still pursuing ppi reclaims anyway

My personal and professional advice is to let the firm recommended by your IP conclude their investigations. If, as you say, there is no mis-sold PPI, then this ought to be confirmed quickly and your case can then be closed.
Your IP will not have deliberately sat on this matter, I am sure.

I concur with the above comments .. and was one who never had PPI, yet found over £8k (bit more since my last update). I thought "if they want to waste their effort searching let them" ..... the rest is history.
