I had my creditors meeting approved on Monday. How long does it take for your name to appear on the insolvency register?

You would normally expect it to show on there within one month of approval.

We would send your information within 7days of your meeting but it may take a few weeks for you to appear on the register

Ours was days not weeks and now I'm waiting for it to come off and although it's not long it seems neverending.

My name came off today after being there for nearly 6.5 years [:)]I had to sort it out myself as DFD hadn't bothered to send in my completion paperwork from last December. Scanned & e-mailed my paperwork direct to an insolvency register contact who actioned it within a couple of minutes (very polite and helpful people to deal with)
To all those at the start of their IVA journey, stay strong and YOU WILL get there in the end.

The exact timing of entry onto the register is entirely within the hands of the Insolvency Service - who often have peaks and troughs of workload which can effect the timescales.

Go to your entry on the insolvency register and use the “report error” button at the bottom. I simply stated that I had received my completion certificate early December 2012 and if I sent the paperwork direct to them, would it speed up the removal process?
The reply I received was:
“I can confirm that your IVA is still showing as Current on our system.
The IP firm representing you should have sent us a copy of the full and final paperwork. However, we have never received it.
I would suggest you forward a copy yourself to save time.
The documents we need are the Completion certificate and Receipts and Payments.
Please note, one of the above should quote Rule 5.34.
Once received, we will update our records.”
I scanned and e-mailed the documents (in PDF format) and a couple of minutes later I got this reply:
“Thank you for sending those across – I have now updated our records to show your IVA as Complete.
Your name will be removed from the register within 48 hours.
All the best for the future.”
Hope the above helps!
