I will have been in my IVA in May for two years.. last October I phoned my Supervisor to say that I have 50,000 which I would like to pay off my IVA,as it was affecting my health.. he wanted to see my mothers death certificate.. her will.. and where the other monies went!! I asked why, and was told that my Creditors would want to know where this money has come from, as you might have taken out a loan.. now I'm not a financial minded person!! but even I know that I was unlikely to get a 50,000 loan from anyone!! well I sent this info to him, got a text 3rd November to say they had received this. I have heard nothing since except another letter requesting proof of income, I am retired so everytime they have asked for this I sent them state pension and private pension proof as well as bank statements..
Where do I stand in this please, if anyone can advise me.. thank you

Hi Jane,
I would be on the phone asking why there was such a delay in proposing the full and final.
It is correct for them to confirm that there was no other money paid to you, and if there was what has happened to it, but I cannot see any reason for the delay.
Get on the telephone to them on Monday!

If this money is from an inheritance, surely it should be paid into the IVA in any case? Are you going to be paying creditors in full?

Hello Melanie.. My debts amounted to 62500.00 but of course my IP costs would make that sum higher.. I just don't know where I stand with this, and to say that the company I am with are not at all helpful, is an understatement! Reading these messages I find that I'm not the only one that is having trouble with the company.. I have offered as mentioned 50000 .. But can't seem to get any response from them, except for them to just send letters out asking for proof of income and for me to sign the expenditure form.. Last time I spoke to anyone was last October , I have tried a number of times and left voice messages on his phone, but still nothing .. Is there anything I can do, for instance contact my creditors directly, although I understand that my debts have been sold on.. Jane

Hi Jane, welcome to the forum and how frustrating for you. Lack of communication is very rude but we do read of it all too often on the forum. Does the company you're with have a representative on the forum that may be able to escalate this for you?
I note you say you can see others are having problems with the company concerned so may guess they do have a rep. Might be worth an email to try and at least get some clarification of how this is being dealt with.
