I was refused a bank account because they said I may have an IVA. I haven't asked for one myself and was wondering how to find out if I do.

An IVA isn't something that can happen accidentally. Have you been speaking to any insolvency firms recently ?

If you've never applied for an iva then you haven't got one. I'd ask them where they've had that information from

Odd[?] when they said "you may have an IVA", what was your response? And theirs?

Have you checked your credit files? It would be worth doing so in case there is any incorrect information on them.

Its not something you could stumble into. Also strange that the bank cant tell for sure that you have one or not?!
