We are about to complete our IVA (started August 2007)[:D]

We have just spoken to a mortgage broker who says lenders wont touch us for 6 years post IVA, not interested in what we earn, ability to pay, any deposit we may have etc... we are devastated- has anyone else had any success with a post-IVA application?

Our current mortgage lender is unaware of the IVA (never been asked, so never shared info) One suggestion I have had is to approach them as we have had no defaults on our mortgage-but will them knowing put us at risk of them withdrawing the mortgage we currently have? Any advice gratefully received....

hi well done on almost completing!

Why not have a word with Ryan or Shaun or both they are both posters on the forum and have helped other forum members. Their details can be found in the ask an expert link.

You present mortgage would have been informed about your IVA as standard - it may be worth speaking to the two brokers on here, Lender criteria is continually changing but at least you will have information from brokers used to dealing with people out of IVA

definitely encourage you to speak to Ryan for more support - as a broker they have access to a range of products for different circumstances...give him a call on Monday.
