I am due to finish iva after 5 years next month but my company has changed from tenon to grant Thornton. Have just received a letter saying they have not received my income and expenditure form which I sent with all requested pay slips weeks ago. They have issued me a notice of breach. How will this affect me? And will I still finish as planned.

A Notice of Breach is an invitation to put the matter right -- so I would re send the documents required. I am a Tenon refugee with GT and send all of my paperwork by email and request confirmation of receipt.
Did you send the paperwork ordinary post, or signed for ? It is not unknown for companies ( not just GT ) to deny knowledge of receipt whilst the envelope is on the desk in front of them !!

Unfortunately I just sent it in the envelope provided wish I had sent it registered . I have phoned and am hoping that by Monday it may miraculously appear but re- doing form anyway.

Maybe some of the closure staff have been moved to the review team and taken their inadequateness and inept working practices with them!

I imagine it is down to a button not being pushed and the system generating bog standard Notices --- the joys of being a faceless number in a multi million pound conglomerate. This, of course, is not just a GT phenomenum --- I remember the days when ID wasn't required in my local bank as they knew who I was, for the right reasons !!

Thanks for the support and feel better about it now 5years has been really hard but they don't understand that. I got into debt through circumstances at the time and this was my only option I don't want it to go wrong now!

GT love to wave the Breach notice around usually down to them messing things up but just talk to them and if you resend docs send em via recorded delivery.

I think gt are having some internal admin issues. I received a letter on Fri saying I had not sent my I&e forms as requested so a notice of breech will be issued if I don't sent them immediately. I have already finished my iva and had a closure certificate. I called them and was told that the letters are automatically generated and as so many cases have closed lately the internal admin has not caught up. They apologised and promised I wouldn't receive any more letters. Maybe you just got an automatic breech letter and your forms will show up.

I would recommend that everyone keeps copies of documents they send to their IPs - and ideally send them electronically because then there can be no argument over who has received what.
