Hi All,

Can anyone help me with a question I have? After receiving CC I've got a copy of my credit file from Noddle and Experian still waiting for the other one!
Although the majority have the correct IVA default date of those some are reporting arrears each month - Do I need to have them taken off or is it the default date that is important?
Many thanks for your time.

It's the default date which is important. That should be on or before the start date of your IVA

You have a completion certificate too, which is good cause now you can also ask that they also

Mark the account to show no outstanding balance.
Mark the account as Satisfied or Partially Satisfied

Make sure Equifax have not put a Notice of Correction on your file to say the IVA is completed. If they have ask that they remove this from the Notice of Correction section. THOUGH THEY SHOULD MARK IT AS COMPLETED IN THE PUBLIC RECORD SECTION where the IVA shows. Just a Equifax thing!

Thanks very much - So I don't need to worry about them showing arrears each month - Will that still mean that they will drop off in October (After 6 years)?
Thanks for the extra info and I'll be sure to look out for it.
Do you know how often you can ask £2 credit report? Can I get one each month?
Thanks again[:D]

There is no limit on how often you get a £2 report. What I'd do is sign up for free on noddle and watch how it progresses on there. Then when noddle have done their thing buy another report with Equifax and Experian.

Or take up the free subscriptions and cancel before they take payment.

Yes defaults drop off 6 years from when they were registered regardless of whether they are satisfied or not. But then again you have a completion certificate you can insist they mark the account as satisfied or partially satisfied with zero outstanding balance too. I'd do that if I were you. There is no way they can then say you have a debt with them at a future date.

Oh they should not be marking arrears once you enter a IVA. Ask that these are removed as you've defaulted.

Thanks again for your help - I'll do that is that with the lender or the credit ref agency?

Also just signed up to the free Equifax credit report, they have the correct start date for IVA but they have date satisfied as one year later and not this year. Does this matter?

Thanks

I'd go to the lender, as the CRA would have to get it from them anyway. Advantages of going to the creditor is that you contact them once telling them to update 3 CRA's rather than you contacting all 3 cra's for them to contact the creditor concerned.
