Hi,could anyone help me, I completed my IVA in July 2011 12 months early. My six years from the start is up this month, what I need to know is do all debts associated with the IVA drop off my credit file automatically or do I have to inform the credit reference agencies myself. Also I informed the agencies in 2011 that my IVA had been completed and it shows on my record in AMBER as a notification can I also get this deleted. Thanks in advance for your advice

Your IVA will come off your credit files six years from the start date. Individual creditors should remove all trace of any defaults from this date too. If any creditors have placed defaults on your records after the start date of the IVA then they should be asked to amend them - you can do this yourself by sending in a letter with a copy of your completion certificate.
Ours are due to fall off in September - in the main all will disappear before October's credit report is due. There are two or three that despite my constant reminders to the creditors have not been amended - I have given up now as these will be cleared by February 2014 and as I have no intention of gaining credit anytime soon then it won't impact on me.
Good luck
