Hi
Prior to entering our iva we investigated all our loans and cards to see if any PPI due back .... none was.

However, we have just received a cheque for ppi from 1 of our creditors. The amount is only £156. We've banked the cheque and emailed our ip this morning, but also spoke to the helpline. The lady we spoke to said we need to pay this over which is absolutely fine, but then we've just had an email from our IP advising as the amount is less than £500 we have no need to pay this over.... obviously this is great news especially as its school uniform time but am slightly confused and would hate for this to rear it's head at review time.
Any advice ??

Hi

If the IP states you can keep it in an email then that is fine, off you go amd spend it.Some IVAS are written in such a way that you can retain any windfall received below £500
