Does anyone know if the MVM with Grant Thornton went ahead this week?

Hi Shelly.j welcome to the forum, try giving them a ring and asking them, too late now as they will be closed but tomorrow maybe, I haven't heard anyone else mention it.
When we were in the MVM in May we were not notified I only found out we were even in it when I queried something else.

Your post has answered a question we have had...

Over the last few weeks my wife has had countless calls from GT to sign the MVM letter and we keep saying no then all of a sudden the calls stopped. If a meeting was due this week then they will have been calling as many people as possible to get them all included within this weeks meeting.

Guess the calls will all start again when the next meeting is due..

Mass Variation Meeting, Gillhe. GT want the same variation to be applied to many of their cases and so present them in blocks.

Surely all clients are advised of the outcome once the meetings have concluded, which is then followed up with a proper Chairman's report?

The real world and GT world are two different places....

Can't understand why - we are all in the same highly regulated profession ...

I can only guess that they have far to many cases and far to few staff, I emailed them with a query 2 weeks ago and have heard absolutely nothing.. Yet when they want something from us they never leave you alone..

Mel,
we have never been sent a chairman's report from the May MVM, as I said above we were not even told we were part of it until we queried the interest on a PPI return my hubby was sent as whether we would have it returned to us or not as we were not sure if that had come in or not for us as we had heard nothing from GT once we signed the authorization forms for EIC. This was beg of July when I emailed I was told we were part of the MVM in May.
Not all company's unfortunately work to the same high standards and communication levels that you do.

Hi Shelly I am waiting to hear also. I email GT on 19 August no reply so I have emailed again today. Hope to hear something...... Maybe in a couple of weeks. Do they realise how people feel.... think not!! will be glad when it is all over though. It is now 7 years and 3 months since we first started our IVA. I also paid a full & final settlement figure in April 2012 which was agreed. So I have been waiting now 18 months for this.
