Can someone tell me if I am a recordbreaker?? I agreed a FULL and FINAL IVA two years ago and made payment in full 14 months ago yet have still not had my case closed due to the misselling of PPI scandal. Even though I have never had any PPI on any of my loans my Supervisor keeps telling me my case will not be closed until they can confirm I never had any PPI. It has now been 14 months since full and final payment was made and I am still waiting, is this a record??

Unfortunately, no -- others have been waiting in excess of two years

I just wonder what would happen if someone takes these crappy IVA companies to court over these completion certificates usining the harm it causes to your health re stress and worry and claims compensation.
Afterall what happens if you break the terms of the iva, threats of bankruptcy etc etc but when the shoe is on the other foot you can be made to wait months and months for your completion certificate, they need to pull the finger out.
So glad I went bankrupt I was given a discharge date and that was final and they didn't change and it did what it said on the tin.
Feel sorry for anyone awaiting completion and that should be the end of it.Final no excuses.

Absolutely ridiculous and unfair ....its about time this was all sorted by all companies not just a handful. I am so grateful my IVA ended three years ago now ... I would be doing my nut if I were waiting for my certificate !
Can I suggest weekly telephone calls to your IP and constant chasing - it may pay off in the end.

If enough people complained to the IP's regulators, then they may take a bit more interest in monitoring what their members are actually doing out in the field. We see many similar complaints of closure delays, or people feeling they are being bullied to agree to PPI investigations, but the regulators tell me that they are receiving very few complaints in this area.
