Hi, I completed my IVA in august 2012 and had recieved my completion certificate from Money Debt and Credit. I was so pleased. However 14 months later I checked my credit file and it stills shows up. I got back intouch with the company who then passed me to grant thorton who told me that before they could issue me a completion certificate a ppi check and vat needs to be carried out. This was a shock to me. Im now waiting for the relavant paperwork in order for me to agree for grant thorton to carry out these check. The question is once this has been carried out will the IVA finally drop off my record and can I get back dated to august this year. Im also looking for a mortgage I have saved £10000 and will save an additional £5000 by august 2014. I would like to know realistically how much I would be able to borrow ( joint income £36000) what % of a deposit I would require. When I should apply for a mortgage. How long I can get a mortgage for( currently 44 years old). Which mortgage broker should I use. Any reply will be thankfully recieved.
